We have what looks like to be a scoop. In this time, when Brazil is so trendy, we are not going to talk about football for once.

We want to talk to you about this moment when the creamy taste of a perfect comté meets the acidity of a pineapple granité; or when a perfectly cooked red mullet costars with a coconut emulsion; or finally when green coriander turns into the most perfect dessert.

Hungry yet ? We are ! Good news is you can pick up your phone right now and book a table at Oka, the restaurant where this magic happens -seriously, book otherwise you won’t get a seat.

Chef Raphaël Rego revisits French cuisine with a Brazilian twist. Every night he amazes his guests with a different secret menu. You will only know the main ingredients at the beginning of the dinner (and you will be able to warn the cooks if you have any allergies or if you really don’t like one of the items on the menu).

This tiny restaurant only has 16 seats and while the dishes (amuse bouche, starter, fish, meat, cheese, dessert) come and go, the chef tells you all about what he loves and makes you feel like you are in his dining room with a bunch of friends. And for that, the place really lives up to its name since Oka means “house” in Brazilian.

If you go, let us know about it because we love it so much that we might be sitting right next to you. (Photos: Amélie Laurin). Book here.
