It’s a feast, it’s a party, it’s a show!

We were warm welcome and everything looked great. Hard not to be ecstatic about Balagan, after a dinner on a Friday night, at the bar, facing the animated open kitchen, watching the lively cooks work all night long. This Israeli restaurant, opened during the Summer 2017 in the Tuileries district, is just a few steps from famous & fancy Rue Saint Honoré.

A very trendsetting venue, with a retro interior design and a filtered but explosive atmosphere along with Mediterranean flavors in the mouth and a laid-back but rigorous chef. “Yes chef” you’ll hear all night, chanted by the kitchen.

On the menu, we started with frenavon bread to dip into generous spicy tahini and olive oil! We’ll then had a full-flavored destructured kebab for starter (a killer) then we had a shisbarack and its yogurt sauce (large raviolis). For desert, if you’re still hungry, the Jerusalem cheesecake is a no-brainer. The entire menu here (could change from week to week).

As for the wine, let the sommelier handle things for you! He has some sweet sunbathed aromas in his cave. The cocktail menu is full of surprises, like everything here!
