Visiting Paris in October and want to taste French wine? What about tasting Parisian wine?
Of course there’s a vineyard in Paris. Right on the Montmartre hill. And every year for the last 82 years, during the Grape Harvest Festival (Fête des Vendanges), locals and visitors (500.000 people in 2014!) climb this hill to taste the local wine produced over there.
From October 7th to October 11th, 2015, right after the grapes have been harvested, Montmartre hosts a four-day wine tasting as well as many celebrations dedicated to this beloved local produce (like a giant parade, a dancing ball on , along with a tasting food trail and wine stalls). All the events on the map here.
So come stroll around on the hill for the weekend and discover our local aromas, tastes and produces, all in a very lively atmosphere! Most of the activities are free, so don’t forget to book them right here and fin all about the latest news on the Facebook Page.
Wine always comes with good cheese…
Unfortunately, the usual final light show is cancelled, due to the recent security issues Paris has been facing.
