Fancy Korean fashion and ready to wear? After K-pop, K-cinema, K-food, here comes K-fashion in France!

Exhibition “The Hanbok by Lee Young Hee” at the Centre Culturel Coréen (Korean Cultural Centre) in Paris is everything of a fashion discovery.

Lee Young Hee is the first Korean designer to have modernized the Hanbok, the traditional Korean costume and made it popular across the world, from Pyongyang to New York. Lee Young Hee is reknown worldwide as she was the first South Korean designer to be part of the Read-to-Wear show in Paris.

While respecting traditions, Lee Young Hee perfectly masters creativity with unique colors made from natural pigments, embroideries and patterns mixing sobriety and songs of colors.

As we celebrate the France-Korea year in 2016, this exhibition introducing 50 of the designer’s best creations (from royal Hanbok to contemporary pieces) is a unique opportunity to discover this fashion trend, still unknown by many, and the best of Korea’s traditions and the unique aesthetic sense of the Korean people.

Don’t miss the big opening on July 6th, with a small fashion show at the Korean Cultural Centre at 6pm.
