The musée du Quai Branly, a few blocks from the Eiffel tower, is a recently renovated and futuristic design museum nested in a lovely garden by the River Seine, a few blocks from the Eiffel tower -great view from the chic restaurant on the rooftop, called Les Ombres. The Museum is dedicated to the non-European civilisations.
Starting October 7, it introduces the Mayas exhibition called “Révélation d’un temps sans fin” (translate, “Revelation of an endless time”), honours the Maya fascinating and inscrutable civilisation: architecture, sculptures, numerous towns, built around habits and religious beliefs for 3.000 years, far before the Europeans arrived. Thanks to the 400 master pieces and the genius of this Mesoamerican civilization, “you can fully enjoy the Mayas gift to Humanity”, according to the museum conservator.
