Jazz fans, assemble! From Wednesday 3 to Sunday, September 14, 2014, the Cité de la Musique will host the «Festival de Jazz à la Villette», in North-east Paris, for 12 days of live music.
The festival organizers has decided to honor the year 1959 throught these two weeks. 1959 was unquestionably a founding year for jazz music. The year Ray Charles broke through with his hit «What’d I Say».
The most talented jazz artists are about to attend this festival for unique performances. Who? Nick Waterhouse, Charles Bradley or Archie Shepp (cover picture).
And for the first weekend (September, 6-8): a jazz marathon with 8 different projects to discover in two days!
Finally, for the first time, your kids will enjoy jazz as well with the new program “Jazz à la Villette for kids“. A jazzy atmosphere while they watch movies, cartoons or puppets shows.
