Some say they have the best fries in town. Hard to tell giving the large choice you have in Paris but for sure if you’re between Opera and South Pigalle and looking for delicious home-made crusty tender fries with your family and kids, you won’t regret it at “Les Frites à Maman”, translating to “Mummys’s French Fries”.
This family restaurant is dedicated to fries, from starter to dessert, with potatoes naturally grown by two young farmers in the countryside in North Paris, in a region made of farms and fields, called Picardie. Show your kids this menu, and they’ll beg you to go.
So many ways to satiate your hunger
You can choose up to four different ways to eat your fries: Mummy’s fries (Classic), Daddy’s fries (X-Large), Son’s fries (Saint-André) and Friends’ fries (Surprise).
Mix them with many different toppings: Chili con carne, Goat cheese-Honey, Emmenthal-Cheddar or poutine (Canadian dish).
Finally pair your fries with a butcher’s piece, a roasted cockerel, a sausage of the week, the sons’ cheeseburger, mussels, Cobb salad and more. At lunch, they have a delicious pulled pork sandwich to go with.
If you’re really hungry they have some childish food to start you’ll immediately love: Breaded Babybel (cheese) croquettes, chicken sticks with barbecue sauce or hard-boiled egg with sticks.
After all that, you won’t be hungry anymore!
