With the advent of Paris Plages, the streets along the Seine have been closed off to cars – This means that along the Seine, pedestrians are even more free to wander along its banks.
For Les Nautes and its customers, this means that not only do you have the restaurant and the terrace (among our favorite summer terraces), the space now extends onto the road and the riverbanks itself.
Though usually Les Nautes is a more nighttime-oriented bar and restaurant, its hours have changed from select afternoon hours to being open 7 days a week, from 9AM to 2AM every day. With all of this free space, it is definitely a go-to destination along the Seine, whether you’re taking a walk near Ile Saint-Louis or heading down for a nice river view from the Marais.
In celebration of summertime, Les Nautes offers drinks and ice cream in its container starting at 9AM every day, to stay or to-go. There is also a food truck available for your hungry stomachs and BBQ after 5PM, with seats under shade available. Additionally, an ephemeral restaurant called “Gros sur Seine” open from July 15th to August 16th is in town especially at Les Nautes, to make this an all-around summer spot to bask, chill, and eat.
The happy and open atmosphere (especially in the summer with no cars) makes Les Nautes the perfect place to grab an afternoon iced tea, or an early evening mojito. Or, head to the Seine for a night out until 2AM with DJs playing Afro latino groove funk.
