“Le Food Market” is a brand new phenomenon happening in Belleville this Thursday, July 2nd. The concept (famous in London or Berlin) is to have a street filled with fresh and ready-made food for you to taste and enjoy. If you want a casual and hip dinner after a long day touring Paris, you can dine right at the market under the sun, by sitting at a table or standing up, or take food to-go to devour at home.

Similar to the open-air feel of the Smorgasburg flea food market in Brooklyn, “Le Food Market” in Belleville is smaller, with only 15 stands but a large variety of dinner meals available. There are no food trucks in attendance, rather featuring vendors in stalls offering everything from home made French to Moroccan to vegan platters. Or, if you would prefer ribs (by Flesh Restaurant), onigiris, banh mi and quesadillas, Le Food Market will surely offer these options as well.

With everything freshly made with quality ingredients, Le Food Market is a great opportunity to explore and revitalize the neighbourhood, as well as participate in the street food movement in France. Dinner meals start at 10€ a platter.
