Every year, summer heralds new and exciting outdoor festivals in Paris. Popular among them, open-air cinemas are sure to be enjoyable nights for couples or with friends. Revel in the cool night air with open seating, good films, and greater company.

Starting July 20th to August 20th 2017Festival de Cinéma en Plein Air du parc de la Villette is one of the biggest open-air film festivals in Paris and is ever-growing.

From Wednesdays to Sundays, the fields of La Villette at nightfall will be packed with people coming to enjoy the free films offered, so come prepared and a little in advance to get the best seating. With such a large and diverse array of films being shown under this year’s theme “In the Kitchen” with movies such as La Graine et le mulet penned by Abdellatif KechicheLe Festin de Babette by Gabriel Axel, Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson and Ratatouille by Brad Bird.
