Every year, summer heralds new and exciting outdoor festivals in Paris. Popular among them, open-air cinemas are sure to be enjoyable nights for couples or with friends. Revel in the cool night air with open seating, good films, and greater company.
Starting July 13th to August 21st 2016, Festival de Cinéma en Plein Air du parc de la Villette is one of the biggest open-air film festivals in Paris and is ever-growing.
From Wednesdays to Sundays, the fields of La Villette at nightfall will be packed with people coming to enjoy the free films offered, so come prepared and a little in advance to get the best seating. With such a large and diverse array of films being shown under this year’s theme “Dress Code” on costumes, you are bound to find one for you!

Au Clair de Lune
Forum des Images is hosting weekend free open air film events from Friday, July 24th, to Sunday, August 2nd, 2015. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of these weeks starting at 9:30PM, find yourself in a different spot around Paris to enjoy these films. From Montmartre to Parc Monsouris to the Marais, follow the schedule of the 11 screening nights around Paris to best suit your film preferences and locations. Remember to bring a blanket for the as the nights do get chilly!

East Paris: Wanderlust
Party, watch films, drink, and eat at Wanderlust, your all-inclusive nights themed around the planned movie of the week. Every Monday night of the summer (from June 29th to August 31st), parties will start at 8PM at the Quai d’Austerlitz until the movie on their big terrace commences with nightfall, after which the party continues. Interestingly, these alternative movies are dedicated to music, from Eden by Mia Hansen-Løve to Esto es lo que hay, Chronique d’une poésie cubaine by Léa Rinaldi. Entry is 25 euros for the party and film, with a meal, dessert, and a drink included.

West Paris: Film Festival Under the Stars (“Films sous les étoiles”) – OVER
In the end of June, the 13th edition of « Films sous les étoiles » will take place in the Parc de Saint-Cloud. Two big screens will be installed, each showing a different movie during the same time and accessible according to your personal taste. Come view old classics and recent hits starting nightfall for free!
