Music fans are pleased as Paris can’t go one month without a new jazz rendezvous!

After the International Jazz day and the Saint-Germain-des-Prés Jazz festival in May and before the Festival Jazz à la Villette in September, here comes the Paris Jazz Festival in June and July (on weekends – afternoons & evenings)

The 23nd edition of the Paris Jazz Festival will take place outdoor in the Parc Floral, the Paris Botanical Garden in South West Paris, for two months of new discoveries, creations and awakening of the senses. Come lay down on the grass or dance and listen to live concerts all afternoon and night long.

This new edition will focus on the strong ties that link jazz to the French pop repertoire (Olivier Ker Ourio and Sylvain Luc’s new program, French Songs; a moving tribute to French rock icon Alain Bashung…), explore the bonds that tie Africa and the West Indies to the Afro-American music art (the Delgrès ensemble from Guadeloupe, African Amazons…), discover the kinship between the art of improvisation and French Baroque music, travel through the musicality of the French language, before concluding on a stratospheric note with Franco-Swiss trumpet wizard Erik Truffaz.. With a total of 31 concerts over 8 weekends (full program here) a flurry of musical workshops and other activities, the Paris Jazz Festival has become over the years a beacon of the cultural appeal of Paris.

Each edition of the festival is a fitting occasion for thousands of Parisians, regardless of their age, musical tastes and resources, to discover a tempting and popular program featuring a host of traditional and contemporary artists.
