Last-minute: This exhibition will be closed until Monday, January 12, 2015.

There can be no best way to discover Paris rather than through the lens of the best French photographers’ cameras of the past eight decades.

Paris has overcome so many transformations that the city you visit today is very different from a 1960s Paris but some things will never change. And so goes the daily life of the Parisians, from Paris liberation in 1944, the birth of the centre Pompidou to nowadays.

Don’t expect the usual pictures of Paris you see on Instagram. From black and white to coloured pictures, you’ll have a unique chance to understand the city you visit and the people who live there. 150 pictures that tell you the story of this great city.

You might know some of the names of these famous French photographers from the Magnum agency: Cartier-Bresson, Capa, Depardon, Martin Parr (picture below). If you don’t, this is the best time to learn and enjoy their amazing work.
