Street art lovers, we have found your temple.

As many of its megalopolis sisters, Paris is constantly growing and what used to be far away suburban cities are now the places to see the city’s most dynamic and creative initiatives.

If you are in Paris between May, 17 and July, 27 cross the city boarder (the infamous belt highway or so called “périphérique”) and enter what used to be a military zone, then a car scrap yard, then a free hip hop zone in the 80s and now an artistic playground: the Fort d’Aubervilliers, for the In Situ Art Festival

Fifty urban artists from all over the world have been invited to express themselves freely on walls, grounds, palisades, wrecked cars… Absolutely everything that could be modified was invested and is now part of this two-hectares open air and ephemeral exhibition.

See for yourself ! And don’t wait, the urban dream won’t remain for long : everything will be destroyed to allow environment friendly apartment buildings to be built. Will this be the end of an era ? For sure, but this end looks like a party filled with new performances everyday and deep tributes to what the place used to be.
