Not far from Gare du Nord nor from Grands Boulevards, two very busy neighborhoods, Sumalee is a true gem when it comes to eating Thai food in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.
Nested in a tiny street, this home made Thai cuisine is a foodie delight especially since its a family business before all and the traditionnal recipes here have been secretly and passionetely shared from one generation to another for a long time.
From their incredible Padthai, (stir fried noodles with shrimps or chicken) to the Keang Pet (Red curry with shrimps, fruits (pineapple, longan, cherry tomatoes) and green pepper) and their veggie plates like the yummy padthai with tofu.
The thing we like as well is the healthy touch they had to the menu with smooth ‘all you can drink’ aromatized water jarrs and their special milk iced tea.
Overall, the service is very welcoming and opened to any of your choices (especially when it comes to spice up (or down) your dish)
