Paris, capital of fashion, strikes again.

Just a few days following the death of Pierre Bergé (September 8th, 2017), Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) longtime lover and business partner, the first museum dedicated to the famous French fashion designer, who died in 2008, opens in Paris.

Located where the couturier used to live, in his legendary hôtel particulier at 5 avenue Marceau, in West Paris, this museum features the brand’s most iconic clothes and most of YSL haute couture creations, for a total of 35.000 objects.

The Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris will focus on both the couturier’s creative genius and the process of designing a haute couture collection. Across 450 square meter, an ever-changing rotation of retrospective displays and temporary thematic exhibitions will present the Fondation’s rich and unique collection.
