Not far from the Canal de l’Ourcq, came in 2015 a brand new covered market, called La Halle Secretan. Based on the same idea that the Carreau du Temple in Le Marais district, La Halle Secretan in Noth East Paris, close to the Parc des Buttes Chaumont, is an attempt to revive the Paris’ covered markets from the past and make them venues of gathering and leisure for locals: stores, shops and restaurants or bars, like Wanted, opened in March 2016.
Wanted is what you can call a bobo venue, the place to be for bobos leaving in North East Paris, along the Canal and in the 19th arrondissement. Mostly early-mid 30 year olds. This spot has been opened by the guys from trendy hipster ecclecic venue Les Petites Gouttes, in the neo-district Halle Pajol.
Their creative pizzas are a must-try
More than being just a great cocktail bar (coktails from 9€, pintes of beer from 8€), it’s an ecclectic place, open all day long, from breakfast to lunch and afterwork to your 2am-last call, set up in a beautiful neo industrial atmosphere, with an open kitchen and wooden oven, serving like a trattoria delicious Italian inspired food, their creative pizzas in particular are a must-try (and not that expensive, 13€, compared to your drinks). Their 26€-Sunday brunch is a catch in the neighborhood.
The overall atmosphere is pretty relax and cool. During the sunny days, their terrace is definitely a can’t-miss trendy spot in the area.
As it is open until 2am, you can also come here to enjoy their parties at night, with a nice soundsystem coming from the wooden DJ booth above your head (hanging their like a bird nest). All events on the Facebook page.
