If you’re staying in central North Paris (above Gare du Nord) and need a cool space to wind down, work on your laptop, or just chill in a diverse area with friends in the 18th, Café Lomi has just the atmosphere for you.
Far away from the touristy center, more expensive Left Bank, and the growingly crowded cafés of Canal Saint-Martin, the comptoir of Café Lomi is right by the railway tracks (very close to the most trendsetting pop up bar club this summer) and concentrates on a “dégustation de café” – or really appreciating the taste and feel of their home-roasted beans.
Located in a very multicultural neighbourhood, you can truly see a diverse side of Paris with a view of graffiti lined walls just outside the cafe windows.
Additionally, you can find light lunches here at noon, brunches on weekends, and free coffee-tasting events and ateliers (check out their calendar of events on their website here).
With free wi-fi, a calm working atmosphere, sofas, and great lighting with floor to ceiling windows, this coffeeshop is a surprising find for the area and definitely worth checking out if you’re staying in the neighborhood.
