Paris is a lover’s paradise any time of year, but especially around Valentine’s Day. The Right Bank is overflowing with romantic venues, so after you’ve ambled hand-in-hand past its majestic monuments, marveled at the enchanting hotels particuliers of the Marais or wandered along the cobbled-lanes of Montmartre or Montorgeuil, weave your way to one of these très romantiques bars to cap off your amorous evening.

Experimental Cocktail Club
A Paris evening institute, if you and your chéri/e haven’t been here yet, put it top of your list. Your taste buds will be tantalized with their creative creations and your date’s eyes will look extra dazzling under the chandelier’s sparkle. Love seats were made for lovers weren’t there? Here you’ll allow them to service their true purpose.

Moonshiner
If you’re looking for a little element of surprise, track down this secret bar. A true speakeasy, hidden behind the fridge of the Da Vito Pizzeria, once you climb the stairs you’ve entered a hybrid world between the 20s and the 2000s with their own blend of vintage vibe and modern flavors.
 Where? 5 rue Sedaine, 75011. Metro stop: Bréguet-Sabin (Line 5)

Little Red Door
While it’s less secretive, there is also a special entrance to this Haut Marais bar, you guessed it, a little red door. Organized in seating clusters of an eclectic mix of low sofas and colorful chairs, you’re obliged to lean in close, perfect for getting to know someone new… and slipping in a kiss between sips of their exquisite cocktails. The atmosphere is laidback and friendly so if you’re on your own, the velvety tall strolls along the bar provide a welcoming environment for chatting with other bar-goers or admiring the bartenders at work.

Le Très Honoré
For a slightly chicer date, make your way to this modern-glam bar and restaurant near the Opera Garnier. The golden glow of the antique lamps, the corner sofas and the seductively named drinks such as the bisou bisou might earn you a kiss with more that just your delicious cocktail tonight. The brighter restaurant evokes all the best of the heyday of the roaring 20s.

L’Hotel Particulier Montmartre
The village of Montmartre with its gorgeous vistas of Paris and quiet backstreets is home to one of the few bars of the city located in a private mansion. A unique space with only a few exclusive hotel rooms, you can enjoy a drink in the plush lounge or the verdant garden, making you feel like one of the guests of this former aristocratic residence.
